  • Epi-Lasik Technology

Clearvision Epi-LASIK is an advanced, surface-based, safe and effective procedure for Laser Vision Correction. Epi-LASIK does not cut into the cornea to create a cornea flap. Therefore, there is no chance of cornea flap-related complications and the cornea integrity is preserved. This raises the safety profile of Epi-LASIK.

Patients who have high myopia and/or thin corneas may have their hopes renewed, as Epi-LASIK is potentially a more suitable surgery for these patients. For more information, please visit the Clearvision Epi-LASIK website

  • Technolas 217P Excimer Laser System The Technolas 217P Excimer Laser System is equipped with the latest in laser refractive technology that is available in the industry. The lastest Advanced Control Eyetracking (ACE) technology simultaneously adjusts the ablation patterns in accordance to patient movement, giving ultimate accuracy of treatment.

The 217P is also equipped with Iris Recognition in four axes, compensating for variations in pupil axis, as well as active pupil shifting.

The 217P is able to perform Planoscan, Zyoptix Tissue-Saving, and Zyoptix Ultimate (wavefront aspheric) treatment. This gives the surgeon and patient more options in deciding the treatment of choice.

  • Technolas’ Zyoptix Ultimate Treatment

    The Zyoptix Ultimate Treatment
is the latest offering from Technolas, that is a combination treatment of the previous Personalized Treatment (wavefront) and the Aspheric Treatment.

With Zyoptix Ultimate Treatment, patients can have the best of both worlds. Apart from correcting Lower and Higher order Wavefront Aberrations, the Zyoptix Ultimate Treatment sculpts the cornea to maintain it at a natural shape. This helps to prevent the inducement of Spherical Aberrations, which in turn prevents haloes and improves night vision.

  • The Zyoptix Tissue Saving Treatment allows the surgeon to correct a greater amount of myopia, without risking thinning the cornea excessively. For patients who have thin cornea, the Tissue Saving Treatment may provide the possibility of full correction, while retaining a good amount of cornea thickness for safety reasons. The Zyoptix Tissue Saving Treatment allows the surgeon more flexibility for a wider range of patients.

  • Zyoptix Diagnostic Workstation (ZDW) The Zyoptix Diagnostic Workstation (ZDW) consists of the OrbScan and the Zywave Aberrometer. The Orbscan examines the structure, curvature and thickness or the cornea and its surrounding structures. By interpreting the OrbScan readings, our eye specialists can detect and diagnose eye conditions such as Keratoconus, Shallow anterior chamber depths, glaucoma, etc.

The Zywave Aberrometer is used to measure Wavefront Errors, that include refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, as well as higher order wavefront errors that can be corrected using the Zyoptix Ultimate Procedure.

  • Topcon Spectral Domain 3D Optical Coherence Tomography The Topcon 3D-OCT uses spectral domain technology for the mapping of the retinal layers. This allows our eye specialists to look beyond what the naked eye can see. The 3D-OCT is especially useful in the detection and diagnosis of Age related Macular Degeneration, Macular Edema, Macular Holes, Epi-retinal membranes, and a lot of other retinal diseases.

The 3D-OCT is also equipped with a retinal camera, that can capture an image of your retinal and correspond point to point with the scan image.

  • Oculus Pentacam The Oculus Pentacam is an advanced diagnostic device that employs the use of Scheimpflug images. The Pentacam is capable of scanning the front of the eye in less than 2 seconds.

The Pentacam is highly accurate, due to its method of scanning, using the cornea centre as the pivot. The Pentacam can be used to help diagnose Narrow anterior chamber angles, Keratoconus, Cataracts, and other anterior segment diseases.

  • Topcon Digital Slit Lamp Biomicroscope The Topcon Digital Slit Lamp Biomicroscope is especially useful when there is a need to capture photographs for documentation. Our eye specialists usually orders this test when there are abnormalities in the front of the eye that would be better described in a picture, as a picture speaks a thousand words

The Digital Slit Lamp is also a very useful tool to help our patients understand the disease that is in his/her eye.
